No Compromise Ministry

Hi everyone! My name is Makayla Hunt. I’m a staff member here at YWAM North Idaho and I have the exciting responsibility of being the leader of No Compromise Ministries. In this blog post I’m going to be sharing about the vision for this ministry so you can get a better idea of what I do and how this ministry is serving to make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19).

No Compromise Ministries Vision Statement

To awaken God’s people to obediently participate in His global purpose by educating, equipping and challenging the Church to zealously dedicate themselves to reaching unreached people groups with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We will be a spark which ignites the Church to participate in a global missions movement that will bathe the earth in His praise, because Jesus is worthy of praise from every tribe, tongue, and nation. We will not compromise the Great Commission’s call for any selfish ambition, but rather we will choose to faithfully follow the Lord and sacrifice when He calls us to the goal of winning global worship for Christ, our Lord and King.

Values

Because No Compromise Ministries is within YWAM, we strive to hold to all of YWAM’s eighteen foundational values which maintain our “DNA” and make us all one unified body. After praying and seeking God’s will for this ministry, we believe that God desires us to place a special emphasis on a few of YWAM’s values. These are:

  • Make God known

We believe in actively bringing the Gospel to the ends of the earth and inspiring the Church to partner in the Great Commission, whether in going or sending, as the Lord leads.

  • Function in Teams

We want to function in teams for accountability purposes and believe that there is strength in a body of believers (Proverbs 27:17).

  • Be Visionary

We want creative, passionate Christ followers who will dream with God about new ideas for reaching the Unreached and igniting passion for believers to actively be a part of the Great Commission.

  • Exhibit servant leadership

We believe that the primary quality in a Godly leader is humility. We strive to lead through serving those around us.

  • Practice Dependence on God

We believe in practicing dependence on God for finances, strength, vision, and unity in No Compromise Ministries.

Current Ministry Focuses

An average day in No Compromise Ministries would entail all the typical staffing requirements of which there are many, and then working on my goals for NCM. I have developed teachings for those who want to be a part of The Call, which is a ministry within No Compromise Ministries. The Call is a traveling presentation about missions put on by YWAM North Idaho staff and trained volunteers. We have done The Call in Christian schools in the area and are continuing to present in youth groups and churches! Our current vision for The Call is to mobilize believers within our community to engage passionately in the Great Commission. The Call incorporates worship, teaching, preaching and resources for attendees to connect with what God is doing among the nations. Our goal is to see our community in Coeur d’Alene and eventually the United States set on fire for the Lord and to obey out of radical obedience the call from Jesus to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matt. 28:19).

Our Role as an Information Source

Another aspect of No Compromise Ministries is to be educated and resourceful about Thailand and the ministries already established there. YWAM North Idaho’s focus nation is Thailand and we believe that we can see Thailand reached with the Gospel of Christ in our lifetime. The responsibility of N.C.M. is to ensure that as a YWAM base, all the staff are knowledgeable about Thailand’s culture, mission strategies, religion, and any possible ministries that we can partner with, as well as be able to direct local churches to ministries they can support. We want to be a YWAM base that is known for connecting local churches in Coeur d’Alene with ministries in Thailand. God has called YWAM North Idaho to be a mobilizing base and we are passionate about sending believers to Thailand and all of the 10/40 window. It is one of the goals of N.C.M. to be in contact with missionaries and YWAM bases currently serving in Thailand so that we may stay informed about their ministries and also keep them in our prayers.

That covers all that No Compromise Ministries is up to at this point in our pioneering process. We believe that this is just the tip of the iceberg for what the Lord has planned for this ministry and we are so excited and expectant to see what God does in and through this ministry in the coming year!

Thank you,

Makayla Hunt
